Our schools are overcrowded and under funded. Average class sizes in elementary and middle schools continue to grow in our district. We need to retain and obtain high-caliber teachers. Smaller class sizes so all children have an equal opportunity for success and teachers can be more hands on with each student. Students should be offered resources and tools that deliver true academic opportunities, social and emotional supports, full access to arts, music, physical education, and after-school enrichment programs like sports and other extracurricular activities. We need the federal government and Albany to invest more in our district.
